Moving can be hard.

Moving is difficult enough, but moving overseas can be shocking. Join Charlie as he navigates the challenges of moving to China and entering an international school with teachers and students from around the world. Despite the exotic setting and being thrust among seemingly different people and cultures, Charlie finds a way to connect with teachers and students and learns to embrace his new community.

March-April, 2025

Tobin is currently working with a freelance editor to get the kinks in the story worked out. Luckily, our editor has loads of experience with many years in the publishing industry including as a Senior Editor for Scholastic and Disney. Maru is currently revising her initial sketches for the cover design and character sheets. Next month, we we hope to post a draft of some of the sketches.

Publishing update:

May -June, 2025

Tobin finished the back and forth with our editor for the first two books of this series. Amy was great and gave many insightful edits and suggestions.

Maru is now working on the rough sketches and page layouts for the book. It’s time consuming work so luckily she’s finished with her final exams and has the summer to work on the illustrations.

July, 2025

Maru is starting to work on the coloring and style for the project. There will be quite a few revisions as she works out the kinks and develops an overall aesthetic which captures the essence of the story.
